Welcome,

I am a freelance journalist with more than a decade's experience who has written for a number of local, regional and national newspapers and magazines.

I specialise in social policy issues, investigations, freedom of information and the criminal justice system.

Among the publications I have worked for are The Guardian, The Independent, The New Statesman, The Big Issue, and Tribune.

I have built up a breadth of material. From interviewing holocaust survivors in Latvia to a woman with multiple personalities, from investigations into nanotechnology to surveillance issues and also light-hearted pieces such as the hidden cultural history around the South West's largest shopping mall.

I also carry out communications consultancy work for various clients - the majority in the public sector. That has included advising on policy, front line public relations work, drafting communications strategies and crisis management.

My clients have included the Government Office for the South West, Bath & North East Somerset Council, Wiltshire County Council, Bristol City Council and IBM. Follow the links on the left for more information.

I'm based in the lovely village of Colerne, just outside Bath. It puts me within 90 minutes of London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol and Exeter.

I have excellent contacts in the South West and beyond, can write clear and concise copy to order and am full of ideas and enthusiasm.

I look forward to hearing from you.
